A recipe is similar to an instruction maual, except it also has the ingredients in it, to indicate what you are building. It has a very known structure, although the style changes in every cooking book. It is usually written in formal language, except when it is online. Then it can take a more informal structure and language.

Ingredients: these are the items that are necessary to cook what you are about to cook.

Steps: These are the instructions you need to follow to complete the recipe, for the meal or food tolook, and most importantly taste, as close as it can to the original.They include recommendations and how to use kitchen equipment.
