Roberto Matta (1911-2002)

Roberto Matta was a Chilean artist. He went to live to Paris and then Spain, where he met artists like Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dali. He was a surrealist artist.

Frida Kahlo was from Mexico. She painted almost 200self-portraits. Her art was inspired by Mexican nature and folklore.

Piet Mondrian (1872 - 1944)

Piet Mondrian was from Holland. He was from a family of artists. His paintings only have five colours: black, white, yellow, red and blue.
