Reading is a good way to learn about the world. Very young children like books with simple stories and lots ofpictures. Fairy tales, like Snow White or Cinderella, arevery popular. When children begin to read, they usually like simple books with easy words like The Cat in the Hat or Matilda. Older children like books about other children, for example the Harry Potter series or James and the Giant Peach. Some children really like information books such as books about dinosaurs or space.There are many kinds of books: comic books, joke books,novels and information books. Reading is fun!
