Throughout history and all accross the world, people have been protesting and speaking up about what matters to them. Take a look at five activists that used their voices to make a change.

Read this article about famous activists and answer the questions below.

ELENA CAFFARENA

Chilean lawyer, jurist and feminist. She dedicated her life to fighting for the working class and women's emancipationin Chile. Together with Flor Heredia, she drafted the bill that would allow women to vote in all elections, an accomplishment that was only achieved in 1949,under the government of Gabriel González Videla.

Swedish teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg started a school strike for climate change outside the Swedish Parliament. Since then, Greta has become a global phenomenon and has helped spread the movement around the world.

c. Make a list of achievements and actions she/he has achieved or taken.

d. Write a short paragraph about this activist.

f. Present your work to your classmates.
