Tons of garbage are thrown out around the world every day. How can this be possible? How does our planet hold on? The Earth needs our help and together we can do something to change this situation. Fortunately, there are three magical words that can help us: Reduce, Recycle,and Reuse. Would you like to know what this is about?The first R is for reduce which means using fewer resources. Think about it: there are many things you don't need,and so, when you shop, do it differently. Look for things that will last and take your own canvas bag instead of using the plastic disposable ones that stores provide. In that way you are reducing the amount of unnecessary waste and plastic. The second R is for recycle, which is the process of converting waste materials into new materials and items. Recycling has benefits like reducing the amount of waste created, saving energy, conserving natural resources,and creating jobs, among others. The 3rd R is for reuse which means using something again instead of throwing it away. There are many items you can reuse. For example:clothes, glass jars, paper, plastic bags, and even food! Food scraps can become compost. With just a bit of imagination you can reduce pollution and help the Earth become a cleaner planet!
