Ideas previas

Para recoger ideas previas, haga una actividad de brainstorming: pregunte a los estudiantes: Do you read comic strips? Which one is your favorite?Can you name more comics you know?Tome nota en la pizarra de las respuestas de los estudiantes para que tengan presente y adquieran las ideas y conocimientos de sus compañeros y compañeras. De esta manera ellos se involucrarán más en el proceso de crear su propia historieta.

Ambientes de aprendizaje

Se espera que los estudiantes sean capaces de trabajar en grupos de forma activa. Se señala que la creación de la historieta debe hacerse en grupos pequeños. Dependiendo del tamaño del curso, se recomienda formar grupos de no más de cuatro personas, ya que trabajar en grupos más grandes puede conducir a problemas de atención por parte de los alumnos. Dé a los estudiantes una introducción sobre comic strips similar la presentada en la página l4 del Texto del Estudiante. Luego pase a la actividad y dé la siguiente instrucción: In groups of four, create a comic strip. Focus on the correct use of illustrations, speech bubbles and onomatopoeias. Your comic must include all of these features. Esta es una excelente instancia para potenciar el aprendizaje colaborativo donde los estudiantes con diferentes niveles de habilidad aprovecharán esta actividad para mejorar su entendimiento sobre la creación de una historieta. Para desarrollar esta actividad, entregue el material fotocopiable de la página 76 y dé la siguiente instrucción: Use this template to organize and draw your comic strip.

A comic strip is a fun way to express your ideas through words and images.It can also help understand concepts more clearly. Comic strips have three parts:the introduction (to present the story). the build-up (the middle section of the story). and the punchline (the unexpected and funny conclusion of any performance, story) Here are the elements of a comic strip:

1. Read the elements that make up a comic strip.

2. In groups, decide the story you want to tell through a comic strip.Remember: the topic is the use of apps.

3. In groups, create your own comic strip. Use all the elements presented above.

4.Show your comic strip to the class.

Antes de crear su historieta, es necesario que los estudiantes sepan los elementos principales que componen este tipo de texto y que tengan claro qué rol cumple cada uno en la historieta. Para esto, se sugiere discutir en conjunto:

What is an illustration? Why is it important in a comic strip?

• What are the speech bubbles? What happens if they are not in the comic strip?

• What is an onomatopoeia? What does it express in the comic strip?
