Muestre a los estudiantes una carta y un correo electrónico. Pregunte: What's the difference between a letter and an e-mail? Pídales que comenten sobre la estructura de cada uno y cuáles son sus propósitos y semejanzas. What' the structure of each item? What's the purpose of a letter and the purpose of an e-mail? In which ways are they similar?

Propósito y recomendaciones

En esta actividad, se pretende que los estudiantes desarrollen habilidades que les permitan escribir un correo electrónico, pudiendo organizar la información y escribirla siguiendo secuencias que faciliten su comprensión. También para que hagan consciente un acto que puede ser automático en sus vidas y puedan, mediante un proceso de metacognición, entender la estructura y propósitos detrás en un correo electrónico.

Se pretende también que puedan pensar críticamente sobre su trabajo, decidiendo qué cosas podrían mejorarse sobre él y sobre el de sus compañeros.

Se recomienda que para la actividad 4 se utilice el template incluido al final de este tomo. En dicho template los estudiantes podrán escribir y organizar el e-mail.
