Read and match the words to their definitions.

Are gravity and weight connected?

When you stand on a scale, it shows how Earth's gravity pulls you. Imagine you are on Jupiter. There, your weight is different.

This happens because planets have different gravity. Gravity changes on all planets.

For example, you weigh much less on Mercury than on Earth, because Mercury has less gravity. But on Jupiter, you weigh much more!
