Self-assessment of a blog presentation and opinion about individual vs. group presentations

After presenting your blog, use the following table to assess your performance. Check the boxes of the items you did well.

Agree or disagree with the following statement. Use examples to strengthen your argument.

Doing an individual presentation benefits me more than doing it in a group.

1. Leer la afirmación: presentar individualmente beneficia más que presentar en grupo.
2. Elegir una postura: agree (de acuerdo) o disagree (en desacuerdo).
3. Escribir una respuesta de 4 a 6 oraciones con al menos un ejemplo concreto.

Respuesta orientativa (disagree): I disagree with the statement because working in a group has more advantages for me. When we present in a group, we can share the work and help each other with pronunciation and vocabulary. For example, in our blog presentation about sightseeing, my classmates checked my grammar and I helped them with the images. Also, group presentations reduce nervousness because you are not alone in front of the audience. However, individual presentations are useful to develop autonomy and self-confidence.

Respuesta orientativa (agree): I agree with the statement because when I present alone I can organize my ideas freely and choose my own topic. For example, in my last individual presentation I decided the structure, the images and the time, so I felt more confident. Also, the teacher can see exactly what I know and give me personal feedback. Nevertheless, group work is also important to learn to cooperate.
