A guide to Concepción, the biggest city in the south of Chile.

Concepción is the second biggest city in Chile, and it's a vibrant, modern place with lots of activities you can do, and places you can visit.

Where is the city?

Concepción is located in the south of the country, in a region called "Bio Bio", after the river that crosses it from east to west.

How many interesting places are there?

There are many interesting places in Concepción. Near the main square, called, "Plaza de la Independencia",there is a beautiful cathedral, and stores where people can buy typical products and souvenirs.

There is also a big hospital, some museums, a zoo,a famous university and a beautiful traditional market,where you can try some local food.

How can you get there? You can get to Concepción by bus or plane, since there is a bus terminal and an airport too. What are you waiting for? Come and visit one of the most interesting cities in Chile!

In Chile, there are more than 20 important cities,but Camila's favorite city is Santiago. It's noisy but she likes it because it's big and there are a lot of interesting places to visit. One of her favorite places in Santiago is the Metropolitan Zoo, where she can see many exotic animals. It has many big parks where she can play games and relax. The old Metropolitan Cathedral is in the city center. There, she can take photos of this historical place. She loves old places.Another old building is the National Library, where she can read books. The statue of the Virgin Mary at San Cristobal hill is her favorite monument. In general,she doesn't like high buildings, but Costanera Center Tower Two is a high building she likes, because she can see the complete city from the top.
