Muestre en la pizarra una serie de imágenes que reflejen acciones, puede ser alguien corriendo, cocinando,etc. Pregunte a los estudiantes: What is he/ she doing? Para la primeras imágenes, modele la respuesta diciendo, por ejemplo, she is running o he is cooking.Haga especial énfasis en la silaba —ing de cada verbo. Una vez modelado, deje que los estudiantes respondan y preste atención a si utilizan la estructura de present continuous.

Algunos alumnos aprenden imitando y siguiendo su instinto. Otros aprenden viendo las fórmulas y estructuras usadas para las distintas conjugaciones vistas en clase. Es por esto que siempre es buena idea mostrar la estructura gramatical. Así que recuerde enseñar la estructura del present continuous en esta sección, luego de la actividad 1.Explique: This is the structure for present continous. First, we have a subject,then the verb to be corresponding to the subject and next is the main verb, but with the —ing ending.

1. Read the examples of the present continuous in the box below. Choose the correct option from the sentences that follow. Write them in your notebook.

What are you wearing now? Skater fashion is getting popular. I'm not buying any new clothes this winter.

a. We form the present continuous tense with the verb to be/ to do+present participle (verb + ing).

b. We use the present continuous to talk about habits and routines/things happening in the moment.

2. Complete the sentences writing the correct form of the verb in your notebook.
