Puede mostrar a los estudiantes fotografias de diferentes comidas: junk food and healthy food. Pregunte a los estudiantes: What are the names of the food in these pictures? Pidales que levanten la mano cuando vean un alimento que consuman a diario: Which of these types of food do you eat on a daily basis?

Profundización y variaciones

Para complementar la actividad 5 pida a los estudiantes: Create a healthy meal plan. Para crearla, incentívelos a utilizar el vocabulario visto hasta el momento. Deben compartir la minuta con sus compañeros: Share your healthy meal plan with your classmantes.Puede fomentar la reflexión pidiéndoles: Compare your meal plans and add some other healthy food options.

Errores frecuentes

Para expresar acuerdo o desacuerdo los estudiantes tienden a usar las estructuras del español para formular expresiones en inglés, específicamente en las expresiones I agree y I disagree, a las que suelen agregar el verbo to be. Las expresiones erróneas como I am agree son comunes en esta estructura.

Para evitar estos errores aclare lo siguiente: Agree is a verb in English and it's not accompanied by the verb to be.

A través de conversaciones y actividades de listening, familiarice a los estudiantes con el vocabulario propio del tema con el fin de que puedan reproducirlo y emplearlo en conversaciones donde describan los hábitos alimenticios de terceros y propios, puede preguntar: Do you think you have healthy habits?

También se introduce la estructura interrogativa y su pronunciación. Facilite la comprensión de las diferencias entre yes/no questions y preguntas que piden información explicando a los estudiantes: yes/no questions have a rising intonation, while questions that ask for information have a falling intonation.
