Toby: Last year, I went on vacation to the amazing Torres del Paine National Park, in Chile. It was a long trip. I went there by plane, car and on foot. The weather was nice. It rained, but there were a lot of sunny days, too. It was wet and cold. I went camping and walked around the park for fifteen days.I saw wonderful glaciers and a lot of wildlife, including some pink fl amingos. I took a lot of pictures of this fantastic place with my old camera. I felt tired,but I was never bored!

Sally: Last summer, I visited the old Mayan city of Tikal, in the jungle of Guatemala, for ten days.It was my first visit to the jungle and I felt very happy. I went there by plane and bus.It was sunny and hot. I climbed to the top of the pyramids and watched the sunset in the evenings. There were many monkeys and birds that were very noisy. I also saw snakes and big spiders. At night, I slept in a tent. My vacations in the jungle were fascinating, I had so much fun!

Halloween: Many American and European people celebrate Halloween on 31st October. This celebration includes watching horror films, wearing fancy costumes, and playing "trick-or-treat", which is when children visit other homes to ask for candies.Families also decorate their homes and gardens with big pumpkins with scary faces, skeletons,bats, black cats and ghosts which are all objects associated with Halloween.

Thanksgiving Day: In the United States is a holiday on the fourth Thursday of November. It is traditionally a day for families and friends to get together for a special meal. The meal often includes a turkey,potatoes, and vegetables. Thanksgiving Day is a time for many people to give thanks for what they have. Some people have a four-day weekend so it is a popular time for trips and to visit family and friends.Saint Patrick's Day: Irish people celebrate it on or around 17th March. It particularly remembers St Patrick, one of Ireland's patron saints, who lived in the fifth century. People wear green clothes,celebrate parties with traditional Irish food and drink beer. The most common St Patrick's Day symbol is the shamrock.
