Algunos errores frecuentes ocurren con la pronunciación de los nombres de los días de la semana, las horas, y los números, por ejemplo los que particularmente utilizan el sonido /0/, como en la primera silaba de Thursday. La dificultad al producir este sonido radica en que este sonido no se utiliza en el español de Chile. Para reforzar la pronunciación, explique: The sound /0/,as in Thursday and third is pronounced making a hissing sound, with your tongue between your upper and lower front teeth.
