Errores frecuentes

Recuerde a sus estudiantes que algunos nombres de lugares no tienen traducción literal del español al inglés (por ejemplo, La Moneda), en cuyo caso deben dejar el nombre en español con una breve explicación de qué tipo de lugar se trata: Para esto, explique lo siguiente: Names of places in Spanish usually don't have a literal translation to English. In such cases, you should say the name of the place in Spanish and then provide a brief explanation about what kind of place it is. For example, La Moneda Palace, workplace of the President of Chile.

Si sus estudiantes no pueden acceder a información real sobre una ciudad,puede pedirles que inventen su propia ciudad para poder llevar a cabo esta actividad: As you can't access to information about cities in the world, you can make up your own city, and imagine its characteristics.

Si prefiere, puede pedir a sus estudiantes que hagan un mapa en versión digital, que pueda ser mostrado usando un proyector, para fomentar las habilidades de uso de tecnologías de la información: You can create your map digitally, using a computer software.

También puede fomentar un espacio agradable de trabajo usando música suave, siempre y cuando sus estudiantes estén de acuerdo y sientan que les ayuda a concentrarse en la actividad.
