Final Task: Newspaper Stories (Unit 4 Green Issues)

Use this space to write notes about local news stories, or news about past school events. Make sure you have all the essential information: who, what, when, where, why, and general and specific details.

Notes: 24 projects were presented. The winning project was a homemade water filter made with sand, gravel and plastic bottles. Around 200 students and 30 parents attended. The school will repeat the fair next year.

Story: Last Friday, October 18th, our school held its annual science fair in the gymnasium. This year, all the projects were about recycling and protecting the environment.

Twenty-four teams from 7th grade presented their work. Miss Rojas, our science teacher, explained that the goal was to show how small actions can help the planet. The winning project was a homemade water filter built with sand, gravel and plastic bottles by a group of four students.

Around 200 students and 30 parents visited the fair. The school announced that the science fair will take place again next year, so more students can share their green ideas.
