Con el fin de ayudar a los estudiantes a relacionar la unidad con su vida cotidiana, pregunte:

• Is this picture familiar to you in any way? Have you seen something similar in your country?

Para fomentar la reflexión en los estudiantes, puede preguntar con respecto a la fotografia:

• Do you think this is a good way to know a city?

What other ways are there in your town or city to go sightseeing?

Is your city, town or country a regular destination for tourists? Why?

Revise los objetivos de la unidad junto con los estudiantes, permítales que hojeen la unidad y pregúnteles:

• What do you think you will learn?

• What do you want to learn? Why?Anote las ideas en la pizarra, y pidales que entre todos decidan una meta extra de lo que les gustaría aprender: What abilities do you expect to improve in this unit? Las respuestas esperadas son, por ejemplo: I want to learn more vocabulary, o I want to finish the tasks on time.Los estudiantes deberían anotar esa meta en el cuaderno e ir chequeando durante la unidad si la están logrando.

Recuerde revisar en conjunto con los estudiantes los objetivos de la unidad, de esa forma pueden ir recordando a medida que vayan avanzando en las actividades e ir chequeando si los están logrando. También puede recordar a los estudiantes que los vuelvan a revisar para que se autoevalúen al terminar la unidad.
