Grammar

Basically, but considering everyone else, any activities to practice the use of will and going to to talk about the future. These are some examples I start using and I hope you use them during your project.

Will

  • It expresses future actions decided at the moment of speaking (spontaneous decisions). Example: I will have the salad and fish.
  • It expresses a prediction based on what people believe or imagine (predictions without evidence). Example: I think Barcelona will win the game.
  • It expresses a future fact. Example: The sun will rise tomorrow.

Going to

  • It expresses future plans decided before the moment of speaking (future plans). Example: I am going to visit my aunt on Friday.
  • It expresses a prediction based on present evidence (predictions with evidence). Example: Look at those black clouds! It is going to rain.
  • It expresses something that is about to happen. Example: The concert is going to start soon.

Both will and going to can be used to make predictions about the future without having a real difference in meaning.

Speaking

In conclusion, make some predictions about the future using will and going to about the information you previously gathered about local and global freedom. Prepare new questions about decisions and ways of taking the people who need it. You can use the QR on the right as a source of information.

Example: When I turn 18 years old, I am going to participate in a blood donation campaign.
