Errores frecuentes

Un error común en los estudiantes es usar expresiones de tiempo futuro (next week, tomorrow morning, in the year 2020) con presente simple. Esto debido a que aun no han incorporado el verbo auxiliar will como indicador de futuro. Por ejemplo: We buy a new car next week (correct. We're going to buy a new car next week). Recuerde a los estudiantes que al usar expresiones de tiempo futuro la conjugación del verbo debe ser acorde: Remember that when we talk about the future,it is necessary to use the auxiliary verb "will" because otherwise the sentence would be written in present simple.

Preguntas de profundización

Pregunte lo siguiente a los estudiantes:How do we know when to use /t/, /d/ or /id/? Si es que lo desea, puede pedirle a los estudiantes que presten atención a los últimos sonidos de los verbos en infinitivo o que pongan sus dedos sobre su garganta y sientan cuando sus cuerdas vocales vibran. La idea es que ellos mismos lleguen a la conclusión de que usamos /t/ cuando el último sonido del infinitivo no vibra, /d/ cuando vibra y /Id/ cuando el ultimo sonido es /d/ o /t/.
