Para activar conocimientos previos respecto a la simultaneidad de acciones o a la interrupción de estas, puede preguntar a los estudiantes lo siguiente:

El objetivo de esta sección consiste en enseñar a los alumnos cómo usar los conectores while y when para hablar sobre eventos que ocurren al mismo tiempo o que interrumpen otra acción que ya estaba ocurriendo. Si es necesario, para que quede más clara la utilidad de estas dos palabras, puede dibujar una línea de tiempo. Dibuje dos líneas paralelas y entre ellas la palabra “while".Explique: These two lines are actions happening at the same time, therefore, to talk about that, we use"while".

Luego, dibuje una línea, entre ella dibuje dos líneas cortas perpendiculares y luego continúe con otra línea punteada. Explique: This action (linea) was happening "when”(líneas perpendiculares) something happened and another action interrupted the first.
