Make notes and assign roles

Make notes about your disaster. Think about action,prevention, the history of such disasters, and the problems in different countries.

Assign roles for a video documentary (project manager, writers,illustrators, designers, etc.). Each member of the group must work on a different section of the documentary.

Prepare your documentary

Individually, start working on your part of the project. Prepare your information in a precise way.

Exchange and correct your work with other members of your group.

Present your documentary

Put all the different parts together and present your video documentary to the other groups in your class.

Talk about why you chose that natural disaster and how you researched your part of the project.

Have a question-and-answer session about each natural disaster presentation.

Assess your performance during the creation of the video documentary. Complete the table on page 67of your Activity Book.

Ambientes de aprendizaje

Si los alumnos van a presentar frente a la clase sus documentales y discutir sobre el proceso de creación,entonces vale la pena que deje un tiempo para asesorar a los alumnos con su presentación. Durante la clase, mientras todos preparan sus documentales,vaya llamando a los grupos y evalúe cómo está su presentación y su trabajo en general. Asesore a los alumnos,señale oraciones con errores y permítales corregir sus propios errores:Before presenting your documentary correct the mistakes you might have and that I pointed out, that way the information you share will be delivered in a clear way.
