Permita que los estudiantes hagan una lluvia de ideas con distintos conceptos que puedan asociar a las postales.

Profundización y variaciones

Puede pedir a los estudiantes que investiguen sobre un lugar al que les gustaría viajar y que luego escriban una postal sobre ese lugar: Find information about a place you would like to visit. Write a postcard including the information from that place.

De manera complementaria, puede pedir a los estudiantes que indaguen más sobre las postales: Ask your parents or other family members if they have sent a postcard to someone. Ask them to tell you about the experience.

Writing Task A Postcard

When you travel and go sightseeing it is very common that you take pictures and post them on social networks. However, postcards are a nostalgic kind of souvenir that you send to your family or friends in order to tell them the adventures of your trip, including a picture of the place where you are.

1. Read the following postcard and pay attention to the content.

2. Work in pairs and discuss the following questions.

a.Had you seen a postcard before?

b. Can you identify the elements in the postcard above?

3. Share your answers with the class.

Write a postcard about a trip you've gone on recently. If you haven't traveled yet, imagine your dream holiday and include the information of the place you would like to visit. Don't forget to choose the recipient of your postcard.

5. Exchange postcards with your partners.

Propósito y recomendaciones

Puede fomentar la transferencia de conocimientos y habilidades de los estudiantes haciendo un paralelo de las postales con sus vidas reales, y desarrollar la habilidad de reflexión al mismo tiempo, si pide a sus estudiantes que comparen el uso de la postal con el uso de redes sociales.
