Teoría: el verbo to be en pasado

Traducción del título: El verbo To Be en tiempo pasado: hablando sobre las emociones.

El verbo to be en pasado cambia según quién sintió la emoción (según el sujeto):

  • You (singular/plural) were happy. — Tú/ustedes estaban felices.
  • He/She/It (singular) was happy. — Él/Ella/eso estaba feliz.
  • We (plural) were happy. — Nosotros estábamos felices.
  • They (plural) were happy. — Ellos/ellas estaban felices.

Ejemplos del libro: I was happy with my friends (se usa was porque el pronombre I es singular); We were excited, and we had a great time! (se usa were porque we es plural). El pronombre you puede ser singular o plural, pero casi siempre lleva el verbo conjugado en plural (were).
